Description
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Design Engineer – Mechanical with expertise in conveyor design and proficiency in CATIA software to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of hands-on experience in designing mechanical components, specifically conveyors, and will play a key role in developing efficient, high-performance designs for our projects. The role requires creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail to ensure the design and functionality of conveyor systems meet our standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop conveyor systems, including components like rollers, belts, frames, and drive systems, using CATIA software.
• Create and maintain 3D models, technical drawings, and design specifications for conveyor components and assemblies.
• Work closely with project teams to understand requirements and provide technical design solutions that meet client specifications and project timelines.
• Conduct design reviews, simulations, and analysis (e.g., stress, thermal, motion) to ensure the durability, efficiency, and safety of conveyor systems.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and easy to assemble.
• Update and modify designs as necessary based on feedback from the client, project managers, or production teams.
• Participate in the selection of materials, parts, and equipment to optimize design quality and project performance.
• Document and maintain design and engineering specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay current with trends and advancements in mechanical design and conveyor technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in conveyor systems or similar machinery.
• Proficiency in CATIA (V5 or V6) for 3D modeling, CAD, and design.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with design analysis and testing, including static and dynamic simulation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Knowledge of conveyor design standards and materials handling systems.
• Experience with other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with ERP or PLM systems.
• Previous experience in the manufacturing, logistics, or automation industries.
