Description
The Service Engineer will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of cranes and hoisting equipment in the eastern region. This role involves troubleshooting, providing on-site support, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective and efficient service. The Service Engineer will also maintain documentation and reports, provide insights for continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on crane systems and components.
- Diagnose issues with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components to provide solutions effectively.
- Complete repairs on-site and provide recommendations for equipment optimization.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with technical support teams for complex issues that require additional expertise.
Customer Service:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional service.
- Educate customers on equipment care, safety, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by responding to service calls and providing timely updates.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including work orders, parts used, and customer feedback.
- Prepare reports on equipment conditions, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during service activities.
- Identify potential safety risks and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years in crane or heavy equipment service, installation, and repair.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Communication: Strong communication and customer service skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the eastern region.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and protocols.
