Chain Hoist
Short Description
A chain hoist is device used to lift the material vertically wherein the load bearing member is chain.
A chain hoist is very compact material handling solution employed in various applications for lifting light weight components up to 5t.
The chain hoists consist of a chain, a chain bag, gearbox, a motor and a brake.
Chain hoist can be had in stationary, manual or motorized configurations.
The mountings on the girder are by means of Hook Suspension, Eye Suspensions or Rigid Suspensions.
In a very special case, where the object to be lifted is long in length, then twin hook chain hoists can be provided which has two hooks at a distance.
Typically mounted on Jib cranes.
