Double Girder Semi Gantry (Goliath Cranes)
Short Description
Double Girder Gantry Crane is an indoor application single legged crane particularly used in areas where floor space is the constraint because of the various machineries.
It is very similar to single girder semi gantry crane with an additional girder. The lifting capacity is very high.
A Semi gantry crane is usually installed beneath an EOT for additional flexibility in material lifting.
One end of the crane runs on the rails installed on the gantry and the other end having a leg runs on the floor without guide rails. This eliminates any floor level obstacles.
Since one end of the crane travels on the floor, the static load on the overhead building structure is drastically reduced.
No restrictions on horizontal material handling such as Forklift, conveyor etc beneath the crane.
The leg which runs on the floor is equipped with human sensors to prevent any accident.
